Dream Queen Dreams
My mom and I were staying at a hotel. She stayed in the room. I went out. When I was ready to go back to the room I couldn't remember the room number. I couldn't even remember which floor the room was on. I was in the elevator feeling panic. The elevator stopped so I got out. I was in someone's room. The elevator was gone, so I had to walk through the room. I tried to get through quickly so they wouldn't know I was in their room. The next room just led to someone else's room. I walked and walked attempting to get out of the hotel rooms. One led to another, room after room. Finally I found the hallway. I was relieved to be out of the rooms, but was still panicked because I didn't know where to go. I wandered in the hallway awhile and finally found the elevator. Once in there I was trying to remember what floor I needed to go to. Since I couldn't remember, I decided to go to the office and ask. Then I couldn't figure out how to get to the office. When I finally got out of the elevator I was out on the street. I walked away. Then I couldn't remember how to get back to the hotel. --- I don't know. I guess I'm still lost out there somewhere.

Dream Princess - February 20, 2011
DREAM PRINCESS DREAMS
Finally, I had a dream last night/this morning... I think all this thinking about dreaming might be blocking mine. Not a good sign. Anyway, here it is:
I was at my office, though it wasn't in my real life office but it was at my current job. My desk was next to this other guy's and I had so much stuff on mine that it was overflowing onto his very neat, clean, organized desk. I kept trying to get all my junk back on my desk but it was just a disaster.
Behind me there was a conference room that adjoined another conference room. Some of my co-workers were in the first conference room and a woman came through a back door of the other conference room looking for one of my co-workers. I pointed her through the door to the other room. She looked at me like I was crazy. Suddenly, I didn't feel well. I didn't feel sick but just felt a little dizzy and weak and fuzzy headed.
My co-workers started commenting on how sick I looked and kept telling me I should go home. I told them I couldn't because I had too much work I needed to do. But when I tried to do it, I couldn't concentrate. It hurt my eyes to read and work on the computer. So, one of them convinced me to take a break with her and go to the store. We were going to get ice cream for everyone.
We walked outside and her 2 dogs wanted to go with us. They kept running back and forth across the road in front of traffic. Somehow they managed never to get hit but they sure made us nervous! Soon, we got to the little corner store. The door was upstairs and you had to climb the fire escape to get in. We couldn't get the second section of the fire escape to work properly so we had to jump to get onto it. Finally, we were able to get upstairs and enter the store.
The store was owned by a lesbian couple so we started chatting with one of them. She was telling us about some mutual friends who had just broken up. I was sad about this news. So, I went to get the ice cream for our co-workers. They didn't carry ice cream bars, which is what I was expecting to take back. They just had hand dipped ice cream so I ordered a bunch of them in all different flavors, and a chocolate dipped one for myself.
Then, I realized there was no way 2 of us could carry back all these ice cream cones so I sat down and started eating all of them. I'm still full!

It is my theory that some dreams can have more than one interpretation. This is one of those. So, although I gave one interpretation in the comments section, this is the second, and I believe, more logical of the two.
The desk at which you were sitting is your life. You have many things going on right now. So you saw your "life" piled high and overflowing. When you look around, other people seem to have everything under control. You see their desks (lives) as neat and uncluttered.
The people in your dream represent the people in life that ask for your help, but don't take your advice once you give it, i.e. the lady that looked at you like you were crazy. However, you do know some people who know how to enjoy life. For example, the lady who asked you to go for a walk.
As for the dogs, who knows what Freud would say? As for me, I believe they represent the people who say they don't want to walk with you. Then they run ahead raising a ruckus. Somehow they manage to get through life unscathed. No one knows how they do that.
The ice cream situation indicates your desire to do good deeds for people. Even though your original plan falls through you still try to find a way to make it work.
Now, if you find yourself in a situation again where you have too many ice cream cones to carry, call me. I'll help you eat them. :)

DREAM QUEEN DREAMS
I was alone floating down a river on a raft. It was a calm, peaceful ride. There were beautiful, majestic mountains going straight up on both sides of the river. They were covered with snow, so white they were almost blue. For a long time I just floated along enjoying the view. Then I got cold, so very cold. I wanted to get off the raft and go somewhere to get warm, but there was no way out. That's the last I remember. Not sure if I got hypothermia or if I flew up and over the mountains to get out of there. If I froze to death it certainly was a beautiful place to die.

Dream Queen Dreams
I was young, about 18 or 19 I think. I was walking along this exotic path. It was really nice because every time I took a step there was something new and beautiful: flowers, trees, birds singing. I was just walking along enjoying everything when suddenly I came face to face with this extremely handsome young guy. He had broad shoulders, blue eyes and blond hair. He smiled at me and I saw that he had pearly, white teeth. My heart was pounding because of his good looks.
He said, I'm Don. He took my hand and we were walking on down the path. We came to a stream. The water looked inviting, so we stepped in. It felt warm on our feet. We went deeper and deeper into the warm water. After awhile we were in extremely deep water. I had a really difficult time getting out of it. Soon I noticed that the flowers along the path were wilted. The trees were all snarly and scary looking. I looked at the guy holding my hand. He was scraggly looking. He tightened his grip on my hand. He told me to hurry up and yanked on my arm. I tried to pull away, but couldn't get loose.
The path was getting uglier and harder to navigate. There was fallen trees in the way. He just kept dragging me with him. I was getting all cut up and bruised.
Thank goodness I woke up from that one.

Llama Mama - Monday, February 14
LLAMA MAMA DREAMS
I dreamt I was with a group of people. Not sure I even knew the people. We were eating at a Mexican restaurant. The owner toured us around the restaurant, both inside and out.
It was nothing special. It was actually really weird. We were in a courtyard outside, and at one point the guy unlocked a small latch in a low ceiling and opened a pull down door. itting within the door was a small man that had headphones on. He was Hispanic looking with curled up mustache and all. He was a DJ. He had to have been a little person. It was a little area. (I mean little, like a 3 foot by 2.5 foot area.) The area had the sound panel, etc., like a radio station.
The guy then closed the door, continued the tour, and sat us down for dinner.
That's it. Mostly I remember the small, drop down door and strange DJ guy.

DREAM PRINCESS DREAMS
Okay, brace yourself... this is a long one. Last night/this morning I had one of those dreams that went from thing to thing to thing. It also has a piece of a recurring dream in it. Anyway, here goes...
First, I was driving my bright yellow VW down all these neighborhood streets trying to find a good parking spot. I noticed there were several houses with towers and all kinds of weird architecture that were built up in the tops of trees. Not like your typical tree houses but literally big regular houses that were sort of floating above the tree branches.
I finally found a great parking spot just a block away from work. The hospital campus had a giant track and soccer/football/baseball field just across the street from where I parked. I walked through the field and entered the hospital down this dark hallway. This hallway is the recurring dream... it is always dark and scary. Sometimes there are dead bodies in it but there weren't last night. It always emerges at a different place... sometimes at the finance office, sometimes at the purchasing office, sometimes the cafeteria. This time, it emerged at sort of the mail room. Even though I didn't work in that department, they put me straight to work. I was sorting plastic containers and putting them in the appropriate mail boxes.
As I was doing my thing, this woman came in and all the people I was working with started commenting on her new t-shirt. She had remade a shirt with our logo on it and they all started chiming in about how awful the marketing department was for not being willing to reprint the shirts. "Those were the best shirts they ever made! I think its dumb that they won't just reprint them so everyone can wear them." "They're cheap bastards over there." I finally cut in and told them I actually was from marketing and that they were really expensive shirts to produce. They didn't believe me so I called the vendor to find out what it would cost for us to order more of the stupid shirts. I found out they would now charge $220 per shirt. "Oh, that can't be right. You should talk to whatsherface in purchasing to see what price they could get on them." I agreed to call her but nobody could remember what her name actually was. So, I walked over to purchasing because I thought it would be easier to just talk to her in person since we couldn't remember her name. Got there but she wasn't in. Then, it was time to leave for the day anyway.
I left from purchasing and went back out the scary hallway. Midway down the hall, it opened into the gift shop then back into the scary hallway again. At the end of the hallway, a young boy was just walking in looking lost and scared. I asked if I could help him find something or someone. He said he was told to meet at room 341 for soccer practice. I told him that didn't make sense and asked who his coach was. He didn't know the coach's name. We wandered around together for a while until he saw some of his team members.
Finally, I was back outside and heading to my car, when one of the gals from administration stopped me and asked if I wouldn't mind being a coach. I said sure so she handed me a packet of information and told me I needed to read chapter one and everything highlighted in pink.
I got in my car to go home and drove down the road with the floating houses up in the trees. Once home, I opened my coach packet and started reading. It was a whole lot of math equations all highlighted in pink, of course!
I did my best to solve the math problems and read the first chapter, which was all the game rules for soccer. Then, I turned to the next page which, highlighted in pink, was a message to coaches... you must post your homework each day between 5 and 5:10 p.m. Your homework assignments must be corrected and posted between 6:50 and 7 p.m. daily.
I got really upset and went to see the gal from administration who had given me the packet. "I thought I was just helping out for a few days. I didn't understand coaches were responsible for homework, too. And that it would take so much of my personal time!" She assured me it wouldn't take that much time each day. Then, informed me that our chief financial officer needed to step down from his role of head coach, and had appointed me to that role. I got pissed and must have flown out of there.

I tried it once, but heard a voice say, "Knock it off." Not sure that God uses that terminology, so kind of think it was my husband. Not wanting to push fate, I gave up on that method.
That bright yellow VW in your dream is your earthly version of traveling on heavens golden streets. The floating houses represent heavens mansions. You see heaven as floating on clouds.
I see in your profile that spending time at home with your husband is your idea of heaven. This dream took place on Saturday night after a day of contentment at home away from the workplace.
The dark, scary hallway which you walked down, and have walked many times in the past, is this world as we know it with its many hazards. You never know what dangers lurk in your path from day to day. Thus, dead bodies in the hallway sometimes.
The reason you emerge in various places from dream to dream is because life is not stagnant. The thing in life that is consistant is that there is always change. You never know from day to day what people will want from you.
When you ended up in the mailroom you went right to work even though that was not your job. That is because in the world of the awake, it is your nature to do whatever the moment requires.
Even though the woman that wanted the t-shirt clearly went over the line in asking and then insisting on getting a free t-shirt, you still tried to accommodate her. I'm thinking that in real life you might need to say, "Screw you. Buy your own expensive t-shirt."
The lost, frightened boy represents all the lost and frightened people you encounter in life. There are many out there, and it is your nature to try help all of them.
You want to help them, yet you know it's impossible to help everyone. Your dream is telling you "The more you help, the more help is required of you. Fly away from this to your safe haven."

Dream Queen - Saturday, February 12
DREAM QUEEN DREAMS
It seems that no matter how many years I've been retired, I can't stop dreaming about work. Last night I had a report that was due. I couldn't remember what was supposed to go in it. So, I walked across the street to the car dealership. I was going to ask the guy there what I was supposed to report on. Not being able to remember what report I was supposed to do, nor how to do it, I couldn't figure out how to ask him. He just stared at me. I felt really stupid for trying to get help from him, so I left. I then went to my supervisor, whom I knew wouldn't help me. Sure enough, either he didn't know, or simply didn't want to help. He started rattling on about some unrelated subject. The best way out of there for me was to wake up, so that's what I did.

Dream Princess - Friday, February 11
DREAM PRINCESS DREAMS
Not a great dream night but here's a quick one...
I was walking down the street in a small, quaint town. I was just sort of wandering around aimlessly, enjoying the scenery. One of the buildings on the main street was an older, classic red brick with ivy growing up the side of the wall... the kind of building you'd see on a college campus in the midwest.
Leaning against the wall near the doorway was an ominous, shadowy guy in a cape who was smoking a cigarette. His figure was only a silhouette and very foggy, but a little spooky. On the wall just above his head, a sign was painted in an oval shape. The sign said "The Glee Club."

DREAM QUEEN INTERPRETS
I base my interpretation of dreams partly on the research I've done and partly on the view of life I've formed in my years on this earth. My theory of the meaning of your dream of a stroll through a college looking town is this:
You have goals that you definitely believe you can accomplish with work and study. Therefore the college town look to the dream. The brick building tells me that you like structure and security. You like rules that are uniform and consistent. The shadowy figure of a man is the yin to your optimistic outlook. Note, however, that he stood under a sign that said, "The Glee Club." That sign is the yang that could easily fall on yin's head and push him out into the sunshine. Once he is out of the shadows and into the sunshine he opens the world to you.
And yes - I think "The Glee Club" would be a great name for a bar.
Not a great dream night but here's a quick one...
I was walking down the street in a small, quaint town. I was just sort of wandering around aimlessly, enjoying the scenery. One of the buildings on the main street was an older, classic red brick with ivy growing up the side of the wall... the kind of building you'd see on a college campus in the midwest.
Leaning against the wall near the doorway was an ominous, shadowy guy in a cape who was smoking a cigarette. His figure was only a silhouette and very foggy, but a little spooky. On the wall just above his head, a sign was painted in an oval shape. The sign said "The Glee Club."

DREAM QUEEN DREAMS
I dreamed I was at the office. One of the crew leaders that worked in the field had requested matching TShirts for his crew of 10. They didn't come and didn't come. Finally I asked the person with purchasing authority when the t-shirts would be in. He said, "I didn't order them. I don't know why he needs them."
I told him, "He needs them for his crew. They get dirty and dusty on the job, and don't have anything clean to wear." -- He said, "OK, I'll get one t-shirt." I was really frustrated because the stupid tshirts should have been there before then. Now he's saying he's only going to order ONE!! I was ranting and raving about that. Finally he said he would get one per person. "That won't do either." I was yelling at him by this time. Then he wanted to know how many t-shirts I thought one person could need. "They each need 5." He couldn't understand why. "Because they work 5 days a week. They're young guys. They don't want to wash clothes every night. They need a clean t-shirt everyday, and then wash the entire batch at the end of the week!"
I hope he understood, because that is when I flew out of that dream!! Still frustrated with him though.

It should not be confused with the perceived frustration that he wouldn't order the t-shirts since those were to cover the past embarrassment.
Your insistence that each of the "young guys" on the crew needed 5 shirts each so they only had to do laundry once a week is full of sexual innuendos. Laundry, another way of saying "I want to swish around with you sexy young guys in a big jacuzzi," and we all know anytime water is involved in your dream, that means sex. But you are clear to place limits on your promiscuity... only once a week.
The best thing you can do to take your subconscious mind off your sexual desires is to go back to work where you can feel fulfilled in other ways.

DREAM PRINCESS DREAMS
This very pretty, modern/American woman with big, blue eyes and very smooth bobbed hair was walking down this dirt road in the country. She was leading behind her on a rope a big black cow. The cow was pulling a cart loaded with loose hay, piled in a loaf shape the way farmers used to put hay up before the bailer machines were invented.
After watching them on their journey to wherever they were going with the hay, I realized we were in India and that she was going to be in big trouble when someone saw she was making the cow - one of their gods - do all that work. So, I made them invisible.
Then, I woke up.
